Tips for Introducing Gentlease to Your Baby's Diet

Before switching formulas, develop a game plan with your pediatrician. They may suggest a gradual introduction by mixing Gentlease with their current formula, or they might greenlight you to try it right away. While many babies have no issues switching formulas, it’s also not uncommon for babies to take 3 to 5 days to become used to a new formula.

  • Try to introduce Gentlease when your baby is hungry.
  • Try to be positive during feeding times as babies can pick up on your reactions, such as from facial expressions and the sound of your voice. Let them know it’s going to be yummy and feel good in their tummy!

  • It can be normal to see some foam in any infant formula–these bubbles are created by air that gets mixed in as you shake the formula. While air bubbles are relatively harmless, swallowing air bubbles can lead to discomfort and gas for your baby, so many parents like to minimize foam before feeding.

    Making sure you have exact measurements and using a clean knife to level your scoops of formula can help reduce some of the air pockets that can get trapped in your formula, and you can also let your formula settle before feeding to let some of those air bubbles pop on their own.
